| My experience seems to show that any regular passenger car manual transmission is going to fail with such time/use. And without a doubt, what you say is true, that the transmission will not support your power levels (or even much less for that matter) indefinitely. This is an unfortunate fact of life when using a manual transmission - they eventually fail. If you were thinking about drag racing your car with that transmission, and expecting not to have to replace it occasionally, then all I can say is that you are just going to learn that lesson by yourself, without my soapbox posts! Get ready! If you want to drag race, go fast, and not get very sick of working on transmissions - get an automatic set up for racing. All this romance with sticks in drag racing is a fantasy from The Fast and the Furious. :) Important personal point of fact: *Note that I did not state that I prefer an automatic transmission, I just said that they work better in that application.* Nice post, by the way, and I give you lots of credit for tearing that thing apart - e[ www. ] I am currently trying something different with an oil cooler - here's to winter projects! *cheers* RSR
